Job Description HEAD OF REGENERATIVE MEDICINE Lineage is seeking
a seasoned executive to lead our clinical and regulatory
initiatives and serve as a significant external spokesperson and
representative for the Company. In this position you will play a
vital role on a highly engaged and dedicated team. The ideal
candidate brings significant experience at a public biotech
company, a proven record in Phase 1-3 clinical trials, and
expertise in leading clinical operations and medical affairs.
Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, scientific acumen, and
executive presence are required. This position is full-time,
reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. You will work out of
Lineage’s headquarters located in Carlsbad, CA. Currently, the
position is hybrid with established regular in-office and
work-from-home hours. SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Lead and manage
the current and planned clinical and regulatory activities of the
Company Identify and coordinate with the appropriate additional
and/or complementary resources, as needed Lead Clinical Operations,
including protocol design and personnel management, including
third-party resources Develop and implement long-term technology
roadmaps, anticipating future needs and opportunities Help define
and support the organization's continued scientific strategy and
vision Serve as a prominent external subject matter expert for the
Lineage platform and programs Represent the Company technology and
programs to external audiences, including the investment, medical
and regulatory communities, as well as pharmaceutical or
biotechnology industry collaborators/partners Engage with external
advisors and opinion leaders and subject matter experts to ensure
the integration of the latest scientific advancements into Company
research strategies Lead health authority engagement, in writing
and in meetings Provide input into clinical and development
decision-making for a portfolio of cell-based assets Manage program
timelines and budgets Provide expert opinion and technical support
for incoming and outgoing due diligence activities POSITION
REQUIREMENTS: Education and Experience: MD strongly preferred,
preferably with experience in neurology (PhDs with applicable
experience will be considered) At least 10 years of biotech
industry experience, preferably with some experience in cell
therapy / regenerative medicine Multiple years of experience
leading the clinical operations/medical affairs function(s)
Successful track record in Phase 1-3 clinical studies and trial
designs as well as the successful submission of INDs and related
filings Knowledge and Skills: Exceptional public speaking and
interpersonal skills are required Outstanding communication skills,
able to articulate the Company’s clinical, regulatory, and business
strategies and progress to a wide audience including the CEO, Board
of Directors, Company employees, and a diverse investor community
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills as a proven and
effective team player who can build credibility and confidence in
and outside of the Company; professional executive presence
Knowledge and commitment to maintaining relevant health authority
regulations and guidelines; experience engaging with FDA personnel
is essential Thorough knowledge of clinical research concepts,
practices, and GCP and ICH guidelines Science and data-driven
mindset; comprehensive and analytical Results-oriented work ethic,
with a positive “can make it happen” attitude. Must be creative and
“hands on” Must maintain the highest level of personal ethics and
values at all times, for oneself and patients Must be willing to
travel up to 30%, including international travel to Europe, Asia,
and Israel. Compensation: $415,000 - $475,000 (base) Lineage Cell
